You would be forgiven for reading my twitter feed and assuming that I am writing a comedy. I’m not. But the characters… (we’re onto Book 2 now) have banter and I grew up reading/watching Joss Whedon – it’s starting to show.
Endless Waltz
I’m in hospital tomorrow so I did my homework a little earlier this time (for someone that doesn’t usually write in any proses, short form or poems….I seem to be using all three recently – And rather badly, I might add).
This poem/thingy is what it is and is nothing more.
Endless Waltz
For meaningful love to withstand- the fantasy must dissolve
Leaving you standing in a scarcely advertised desolation
Seeing and speaking to another as nothing but yourself
Without the glittering glare of skewed expectations
With a small human sneeze that says “It is Ok – to just be Real”
Reality should triumph with love growing strong
But the dance is often more important than the song
And someone has to clean up those scattered Rose petals
Before they curl away from life; rotting into brown dust
And taint the fresh fabric beneath with scattered intentions
Bricks used to build you up; Are the same ones you end up buried under
An open mind abruptly locks down; behind darkened eyes
The exhaustion of Love – becomes the precursor to its very demise
And the endless waltz across fairy tale pages – Stops.
After over a year off, I re-joined Facebook. Purely for the Writing caper and a Star Ship (USS Alba rocks!)
You can find the stories, quotes, artwork prototypes/doodles, drabbles and all things from the Concepts universe here:- https://www.facebook.com/conceptstrilogy There is not much there right now but like most things – it will grow. And I’ll integrate it into the website in the future (by future- i mean ‘tomorrow’)
Hope you’re all doing great and I better get cracking on the #amwriting
Peace Out

Authors Notes
My January Writing Notes (brace yourself):-
Only Writers spend their Sundays plotting a Murder without actually considering committing the crime.
Authors Notes: There are rules to every character & there is a journey. Whilst The path can vary & alter – Fate cannot be swerved.
There is always a price to using power but it’s usually a mental exhaustion that slightly alters behaviour.. causing mistakes
Authors Note: For a guy that claims he feels apathy for humans – he certainly goes to extraordinary lengths to save one.
Authors Notes: Everyone thinks Mal is acting strange because of PTSD. Mal thinks everyone else is acting strange because they’re assholes.
Death claims he cannot resurrect the dead yet revives the dog four times.
Authors Note: When one of the four dies – the entire planet screams and it’s the scream in book 2 that sets up book 3.
The lack of faith one character has in his brother turns out to be breathtaking and ultimately earth shattering
Authors: #AHWBN The hero can generate a protective barrier when stopping for tea but cannot do it at ANY other time.
Authors Note: The word ‘supernatural’ never appears in Concepts. But the phrase ‘Abundance of Weird’ or word ‘wonderment’ appears a lot.
Any character across all stories loses eye pigment when they use power. Only if they sleep/get knocked out does it return
#AHWBN – in outskirt town they use magic to ferment rocks into booze. A main character has a bad reaction & gets ‘stoned’
#AHWBN (A Hero Would Be Nice) Dragons blood looks exactly like normal blood except it tastes like lemonade.
Authors Notes: Trivia:- Concepts B (2) The B stands for Brave and represents the destination.
Authors Notes: If a main character tells any other other character to ‘duck’ – if they don’t, they die. Even if there’s Nothing There.
Authors Notes: The phrase “it’s for the kids” isn’t a reference to children. It’s about one characters dream of a farm & refers to goats
Authors Notes: in fantasy comedy-whenever the ‘heroes’ (very loose term) slip in phrase ‘it’s for the kids’ they are about to commit a crime*

Twitter!, wherefore art thou Twitter
I can’t install Twitter onto this blog because the option doesn’t exist and ‘tech’ support has lost the ability to hit the ‘reply’ button. I don’t like a screen without my Twits. How can I share gems like this:-

Yeah…you’re missing nothing…in hindsight.
Day Damn One
After mulling through many questionably dull WordPress sites I choose this one. It is also dull and I was hoping to jazz-hands it up. Only it doesn’t have a Contacts Page (good luck getting in touch), relies on Jetpack for everything (seriously – what did I pay for?) and all the links in its Help files are broken so I literally can’t read the Manual (which I resent having to do since part of the magic involved the phrase ‘Beginner Friendly’ and ‘is a perfectly simple blogging theme’. Yeah…I’m sure it is. As long as you don’t need to actually use it.
